It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Claudia Linh Phan. She was the only daughter of Kinh Luan Phan and Megan Clipp, and younger sister to Liem Phan. They loved her fiercely. She is also survived by her loving grandparents, Tuan and Huong Phan and Bruce and Jennifer Clipp, uncles, aunts, cousins, and her boyfriend of over two years. In addition, she leaves behind two dogs she adored, Pippa and Millie.
Claudia had a gentle, loving soul, so sensitive to those in need or those facing injustice. She was also brave and driven and feisty and funny, constantly challenging herself and starting new projects. She loved deeply and was deeply loyal to those she loved.
An immensely talented musician, Claudia was a classical pianist, songwriter, and singer. To watch and hear her play the piano was magical. She made her listeners feel her music. She spent countless hours developing her skills at Musicologie, and she was hoping to study and create a career in piano performance as she looked forward to her college years.
Claudia also had a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, and found a martial arts family at J. Tiger, where she loved to work on new skills, compete with the demo team, and instruct young martial artists. She was a beloved instructor and felt strongly that she learned as much from her students as she ever taught them.
We had nowhere near enough time with her.
Claudia had a constantly expanding list of social causes that were dear to her. At this time, we would ask that in lieu of flowers, you consider a donation to Canine Collective (caninecollective.org) or C.R.I.S. (crisohio.org) in Claudia’s name.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017. The funeral mass will be private.
