Dan Arthur Schneider

Dan was born in Canton, Ohio, to the late Arthur and Marilyn Schneider. He attended Wittenberg University, where he was a proud member of the football team. Dan enjoyed a long and successful career in IT as a Mainframe Engineer. His work took him to Virginia, where he met and married his beloved wife, Susan. Together, they shared 32 wonderful years of marriage and raised two children, Andrew and Kristen.

A devoted football fanatic, Dan especially loved the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He found joy in traveling to Colorado, where he was an avid trout fisherman. Above all else, Dan cherished his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and a very proud grandfather, enamored by his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by GG, his sister Marcia, his uncle David.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Schneider; his son, Andrew and daughter, Kristen, both of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Wyatt Arthur and Remi Mae; and his beloved granddog, Ollie, with whom Dan shared a special bond. He also leaves behind his stepsons, Paul Kaplar of North Carolina and John Kaplar of Virginia; his siblings, Steven (Marge) Schneider of New York, Suzanne (Jeffrey) Meyers of Oklahoma, and Amy (Rich) Sidoroff of Colorado; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dan will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and charismatic spirit. He was the light of any room he entered and had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met.

A celebration of life for Dan will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH 43017, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
