David Yohana Mbaga

David was born on March 23, 1973, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and passed away on June 15, 2025, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 52. Though his time with us feels far too short, his impact was profound, and his legacy is lasting.

David will be missed by his loving wife, Beauty, his daughters, Aaliyah and Nanyika, his mother, his father and sisters, his grandbaby as well as his numerous relatives, special friends and close colleagues.

David was a man who believed in standards — not just for appearances, but for how one lives and treats others. He did things the right way: with care, purpose, and quiet excellence. You saw it in his surroundings — the crisp, edged lawn he took pride in, the way he dressed with dignity and style, and the deliberate way he moved through life. Every detail mattered to him because he believed in respecting the gifts of life.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Alex Mbaga, whose memory remained close to David’s heart.

David built a life of substance, of love, and of meaning. A funeral service and visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Visitation will last until 3:30 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH 43017.
