Eloise Westerman, a devoted wife, beloved mother, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on May 5, 2025, at the age of 94. Her life was a beautiful symphony of faith, love, and service to others.
Born on October 24, 1930, in Somerset, Kentucky, Eloise lived each day with purpose and grace. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1954 with a degree in Music Education. She taught music in the Erlanger-Elsmere School District in Northern Kentucky and later continued her love of teaching as a director for church children’s and adult choirs, joyfully sharing her talents to glorify God and enrich the worship life of her church.
On June 22, 1957, she married the love of her life, William L. Westerman Sr. Together, they shared over 67 years of loving, Christ-centered marriage – a union built on faith, devotion, and enduring love. They were long-time residents of Worthington, Ohio, and most recently residents of Dublin Friendship Village.
A long-time member of Dublin Baptist Church, Eloise was an avid Bible student, leading and attending multiple classes. She also became deeply involved in English Language Ministries, helping others grow in their language skills and confidence.
Eloise is preceded in death by her beloved parents, A.D. Roberts and Maude Roberts. She is survived by her devoted husband, William L. Westerman Sr.; her loving children, William L. Westerman Jr. and Barbara E. Westerman; and a host of extended family, friends, and fellow worshippers who were blessed by her life.
Her legacy – of faith, music, compassion, and service – continues to inspire all who knew her.
A celebration of Eloise’s life will be held at Dublin Baptist Church, Dublin, Ohio, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to gather in thanksgiving for a life lived with purpose, passion, and praise.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eloise’s memory to the Dublin Baptist Church Choir at https://onrealm.org/DublinBaptist/give/InMemory
