James Leo Ehret

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James L. Ehret, a cherished husband and father and esteemed finance professional who departed from this world on March 17, 2024. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, after a year battle with cancer.

Born on, July 21, 1978, James brought laughter, light and warmth into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a beacon of kindness, known for his boundless generosity, gentle spirit, and unwavering compassion.

James was a pillar of strength and support for his family and friends. He cherished moments spent with loved ones, always ready with a listening ear, a comforting embrace, or words of encouragement. Jim lived for his family, his country, golf and his friends.

Throughout his 45 years, James made a profound impact on his community and beyond. He dedicated his talents and expertise as a Regional Vice President with Pacific Life leaving an indelible mark on the financial services industry and inspiring countless individuals along the way. He approached his work with integrity, dedication, and a commitment to excellence that served as a guiding light to all who had the privilege of collaborating with him.

Left to forever cherish his memory are his wife, Laura Ehret (nee Murray); daughter, Evelyn Margaret; son, James Richard; sister, Kimberly Ehret, and countless friends and colleagues. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his legacy of love, compassion, and service continues to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched, and his legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Rest in peace, dear James. Your presence brought joy to the world, and your memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN, 5980 Perimeter Dr. Dublin, OH 43017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Saint Brigid of Kildare Parish, 7179 Avery Rd. Dublin, OH 43017. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
