Joyce Virginia D’Silva, 94, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. Born on January 8, 1931, in India, Joyce’s faith and family were the cornerstones of her life. She cherished every moment with her immediate and extended family, always putting their needs first. Joyce was a dedicated teacher who later found joy in teaching Sunday School, and even as her memory faded, she was always concerned about “the children.” She was well traveled and had a passion for art, painting, and tending to her garden.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Rowena (Derek); son, Reynold (Avita); grandchildren, Nisha (Mike), Pia (Zane), Erika (Michael), Kirsty (Henrik), Olivia (Kavi), Annabelle (Samson); great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Mikey, Emma, Nora, Henry, and Arlo; siblings Iona (Filomeno), Yorrick (Mariana), Marie, Arthur (Wendie); and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eric; mother, Maria; father, Louis; son-in-law, Errol; and siblings, Theresa, Ivan, Charlie, and Jimmy.
