

Larry A. Cooper, 70, went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He peacefully passed away in his sleep at home. He was born on December 25, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Juanita (Steele) Cooper. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel and Robert M. Cooper. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Peggy Cooper, whom he was deeply devoted to; daughters, Angela Cooper of Columbus, OH, Sarah (Brett) Karpowicz of Purcellville, VA, and son, Andrew (Stephanie) Cooper of Taylor Mill, KY; brothers, David (Rhonda) Cooper of Westerville, OH and Richard (Maria) Cooper of Piketon, OH; and brother-in-law, Allen Kemp of Lewis Center, OH. Larry and Peggy were blessed with 5 grandchildren, Kayla and Addison Karpowicz, Seth, Zander, and Brayden Cooper of whom they are very proud of. There are many nieces, nephews, and cousins. They lived in Dublin for 36 years.
He graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1969. He worked at Rickley Machine Shop, Robertson Heating and Plumbing, the Catholic Diocese of Columbus as an IT Director, and FiServ. Larry was a member of Dublin Baptist Church for many years. He loved to travel, enjoyed photography, playing cards, chess, bird watching, cooking, Bible Study, and telling Dad jokes. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Dublin where a visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26, from 6-8pm. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27 from 10-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am at Dublin Baptist Church, 7195 Coffman Road. Pastor J.D. Davis will be officiating. Larry will be buried at Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
