Marianne T. Oleski

Marianne Thersa Seliskar Oleski, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, in Dublin, Ohio. She was born on August 1, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to James Seliskar and Mary Ellen (Delaney) Seliskar.

Marianne was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She will be lovingly missed by her three sons, Gregory (Jill) Oleski, Mark Oleski, and Jeffery (Jen) Oleski; and her cherished grandchildren, Katie, Marisa, Cameron, and Dawson. She is also survived by her brother, James (Diane) Seliskar, and her sister, Suellen (George) Maki.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Ellen Seliskar; her sister, Patricia Haag; and her two infant children, Raellen and Alan.

Marianne graduated from Villa Angela Academy in 1958. She worked for many years as a histologic nursing technician at St. Vincent Charity Hospital before dedicating herself to raising her family. Later in life, she found great joy working for more than 19 years at Charles Penzone Salon and Spa, where her warmth and gentle spirit were felt by coworkers and clients alike.

In her spare time, Marianne shared her creative passion for designing and crafting beautiful floral arrangements and wreaths for family and friends. She had an effortless way of bringing sunshine and smiles into every room, always taking time to listen and truly care. She loved bright, sunny days, a beautiful bouquet of fresh daisies, and the calming sound of water – be it a lake, pond, or the ocean.

Marianne’s legacy and the impact she had on those who had the honor to know and love her will live on. A private family Celebration of Life will be held later this year.
