Mark H. “Marco” Moser, age 76, of Plain City, Ohio, and formerly of Dublin, Ohio, Holland, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois, passed away December 19, 2025, at home. He was born on June 11, 1949, in Columbia, Missouri, son of the late Thelma I. (Boon) Moser and William S. Moser.
Mark dedicated his life to service, leadership, and learning. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1971, followed by a residency in Health Care Administration at MacNeal Memorial Hospital (1974–1975). He later received a Master of Arts in Health Care Administration from The George Washington University School of Business in 1975. Mark also held insurance licensure in Accident, Health, Life, and Variable Annuities through the Ohio Department of Insurance.
A respected healthcare executive and consultant, Mark retired in 2020. Prior to retirement, Mark proudly began his consulting firm, Mark H. Consulting, LLC (2014–2019). He served as Vice President of Marketing at Paramount Health/ProMedica in Maumee, Ohio for nearly 20 years. Prior to his time at Paramount, Mark was Vice President of Marketing, Planning, and Operations at Health Care Management, Inc. (1985–1993); Director of Planning and Marketing at Central DuPage Hospital (1981–1985); and Manager of Health Care Consulting at the Chicago Hospital Council (1976–1980).
Mark was committed to his community and gave generously of his time, serving on the boards of the Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Ballet, Toledo Day Nursery, Toledo Opera, and the University of Toledo Center for Family Business.
He was married for 20 years and is survived by his beloved wife, Sue Bryan Moser. He will be fondly remembered by his wonderful inherited family - stepchildren: Brenda Donaldson (Jerry), Josh Bryan (Catie), and Justin Frye (Heather), step-grandchildren Devin Donaldson (Sierra), Keirsten Wallace (Andrew), Luke, Ben, Lana, Jameson, and Wrenlynn; and great step-granddaughter Luciana. He is also survived by seven sisters-in-law and nine brothers-in-law.
Mark loved cooking and grilling – especially when paired with a glass of chardonnay – and was famous among family for making his Grandma Blanche’s light rolls for holiday dinners. He found joy in nature and animals, particularly birds, as well as astronomy, the ocean, and its creatures. He enjoyed landscaping, planting flowering bushes, and growing herbs. Time spent with children, grandchildren, family, and friends was especially meaningful to him.
An accomplished athlete in his youth, Mark was a competitive slalom water skier as a teenager and later enjoyed snorkeling as an adult. He was also a certified scuba diver, earning his certification in 1963 and achieving Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver status through the Multinational Diving Educators Association in 1992.
Music brought Mark happiness. He declared Willie Nelson his hero and enjoyed country, Latino, and symphony music.
Mark shared a special bond with his sun conure parrot, Sarah, affectionately known as “Sarah Parrot,” who lived for 26 years and flew freely in their home. Playful and spirited, Sarah kept Mark and Sue on their toes, and Mark often joked that she was a “good parrot – when she wasn’t being mischievous.”
Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Northwest Ohio at a future date.
