Nancy Fillinger

Nancy completed coursework at Columbus State and graduated from the Columbus Public School of Practical Nursing, earning her LPN. She spent her career as a nurse and nurse educator, caring for others with compassion and dedication. She was a longtime member of Vineyard Church.

Nancy enjoyed soap operas, TLC, TV39, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, Dollar Tree, and genealogy. She loved old books and history, garage sales, driving to see Christmas lights, and especially her morning cup of coffee. She found joy in the simplest moments.

Nancy will be remembered as kind, generous, and someone who loved hard. Her warmth and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving children, Shawn William Starling (Colleen) and Cynthia Thomas (Paul); her devoted granddaughter, Chandel Kilanowski (Mark); and her cherished great-grandchild, Isabel Kilanowski; her brother, Lewis T. Keys; and her niece and nephew, Sherry Michelli and Bobby Keys (deceased).

A graveside service will be held on January 5, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Union Cemetery, located at 3349 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43202, United States.
