Surinder (Sue) Mann, aged 72, passed away on February 8 after battling Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) the last few years of her life. Sue leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, Satinder Mann; sons Indy (Harps) and Nick (Samie); and grandchildren Tia, Devin, Dylan, Rohan and Anya.
Sue was born in India June 6, 1953. She had a Master’s in Science from her college in India. Upon coming to the U.S., Sue graduated in accounting from Sinclair College, working until she retired from Cargill in 2017.
Sue and Satinder lived a full life together; they raised their sons in Vandalia, Ohio, surrounded by friends who became like family. They were active members of the Sikh community. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and moved to Powell to be closer to them. Sue enjoyed sports and her knowledge of sports trivia could not be beaten!
Sue took pride in the importance of exercise and healthy eating and shared her knowledge with others. She had a wicked sense of humor and a smile that would light up a room. For those fortunate to be called her friends, she was a friend for life and a force to be reckoned with.
The funeral will be held on Friday, February 20, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Schoedinger Midtown, 229 E. State Street, Columbus 43215 followed by a service at Guru Nanak Religious Society Sikh Temple, 3745 Business Park Drive, Columbus 43204.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Sue in Vandalia on February 28, with more details to follow soon.
