
Born in 1926 in Bursa Province, Turkey, Ulker spent her early years there and worked as a bank teller. In 1958, she immigrated to Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and their seven-year-old daughter, Sitare. In 1962 the family welcomed a beloved son, Cengiz. After establishing a new life in Columbus, Ulker worked at Lazarus as a tailor's assistant.
Ulker had a passion for travel and enjoyed visiting Hawaii, Italy, France, and taking cruises. She was an avid lover of the arts and found great joy in painting. She especially admired the work of Vincent van Gogh. She also enjoyed playing card games, bingo, and backgammon, sharing many happy hours with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Sitare and Cem Ozmeral; her granddaughters, Asli Weil and Esra Geither; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Taylor Weil, Madison Weil, Ashton Geither, Ellise Weil, and Bryce Geither.
She will be remembered for her strength, determination, artistic spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Her kindness, wisdom, and adventurous nature touched the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will be treasured always.
