Billie A. Howard

Billie Ann Howard, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2014. Billie was born on July 16, 1920, to William and Ann (Matthew) Sell. Billie married Donald Howard on June 6, 1942 in Duluth, where they built their life together, raising three children.

Billie was foremost a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took great pride in caring and loving all. She never forgot a birthday, holiday or special occasion. Billie enjoyed gatherings at the lake and pontoon rides with her family. She and Donald loved vacationing in Hawaii and Billie loved spending winters in California in her later years.

Billie was preceded in death by husband Don, son Keith, sister Kathryn and great-grandson, Joshua.

She is survived by daughter Lynne (Jim) Mannen; son Scott (Jan) Howard, daughter-in-law Sharon Howard; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Spirit Valley Assisted Living; St. Eligius, and Essentia for their kind and excellent care.
