I want to extend my sympathy for your loss.  Growing up with you Knight boys in school and then having your father as a typing teacher.  Very nice family and he was the greatest teacher. He was one of those teachers you loved and will always remember.  Because he cared.

Paul and Bonnie and the entire Knight family, I am sorry for your loss.  Mr. Knight was an incredible teacher.  The most used life skill I acquired was learning how to type and indeed no one could inspire a teenage to type quite like Mr. Knight!  I can still here him hitting the keys, slamming the carriage home, placing his hands on his hips and saying "that's how the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"!

No one could rat-a-tat the typewriter keys and slam that carriage return like Mr Knight. My favorite teacher by far. He had a unique speaking style and was so much fun. He also collected my paper route money in his basement in Proctor when I was only about 10 years old. Rest in peace Mr Knight!

Jan, our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Unfortunately we weren't able to be there, Catherine was at work and I was down at Essentia with Andrea as she was waiting to go into surgery. She was had an on going problem for way over a year and this is her 6th surgery concerning a incurable disease.  Some day maybe she can fill you in on it. For now we just wanted to let you know why we weren't there and let you know Bill will always be missed, even though we hadn't seen him much since Andrea was no longer going to dialysis.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Knight's passing.   He not only was a great teacher who taught me to type but he also helped me find my first job at the Proctor Credit Union, which eventually led me to my career job at the DMIR Railway. My favorite teacher by far ....  I am so sorry for your loss and may you peace in your memories of this amazing man.

We are so sorry to hear that Bill (Mr. Knight to me) has passed away.  We do know he is with the Lord and that is a comfort.

My Teacher and His Wife

Many years have gone by
But I will never forget
as I sit here and cry.

He taught me to type 
and balance a checkbook.
There is more to this story
so please take a look.

He was there for me during
those high school years.
Trouble teens, broken heart
he introduced me to his wife
right from the start.

Because of this man
and woman,
God healed my heart.

He has completed his race
full of God's Grace.
He slipped into Heaven with ease.
I wonder if he is still jiggling his keys!

it is now time to let him go
I have already made him whole.

Mr Knight was my bookkeeping teacher at proctor high school, but my best memory of Bill is his kindness he gave to our family. I came from a big family and my mother was very ill  one year and all of us kids had to go and stay with whom ever could take us in! Bill and Janice Knight was one of those caring people! They took in my sister and brother at the time! I also babysat for the Knights, and in later years I waited on Bill and Janice at Paulsons Super Valu! He made me laugh! Very kind and caring person!
