Claudia fought her battles bravely

A cure not meant to be

God wrapped his arms around her

And whispered

“COME WITH ME”

Claudia, 72, of Grand Lake was called home to her Lord and Savior Thursday, August 31, 2017. She was born April 10, 1945 to Rudolph and Ruby (Peterson) Halverson in Duluth.

She married the love of her life, Richard Lien on September 14, 1963 in Duluth. Together they raised four children. They shared their lives together in the Twin Cities before eventually settling in the Grand Lake area.

Claudia enjoyed sewing, reading, and knitting. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Eugene Soderberg.

Claudia will be greatly missed by her husband of 54 years, Richard of Grand Lake; children, Retired Chief Master Sargent Richard (Jodi) Jr. of Andover MN, Christopher (Carla) of Mendon NY, Scott (Heather) of Andover MN, and Heidi-Jo (Chad Bandy) Lien of Proctor MN; 11 grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Bernice) Halverson; and sister, Sharon Soderberg.

Visitation: 5:00 until the 6:00 p.m. memorial service Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N 56th Ave. West, Duluth.
