Gunner L. Lund

Gunner was born June 16, 1991 at St. Luke’s Hospital to parents Cheryl Slennes and Scott Lund. He was happiest and loved spending time with his family. His older brother, Jesse, was his best friend and he loved his nephew, Scotty, with all of his heart. He would always play and watch cartoons with Scotty for hours on end. He had a heart of gold and would never hesitate to help someone in need. He was his mom’s right hand man. He was an excellent handyman and enjoyed fixing things and taking them apart. He was very knowledgeable about cars and would always know how to get them running again. He had a great sense of humor and could make an entire room burst with laughter. Gunner was also known as “Big Gunz” to many.

He was preceded in death by his father Scott Lund.

Gunner is survived by his mother Cheryl Slennes; brother, Jesse Dowell; sister, Ruby Lund; nephew, Scotty; niece, Harmony; grandparents, Ruby and Dale Slennes, Jan Dahlberg and Larry Lund; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the 1 pm service on Thursday, April 19, 2012 in Asbury United Methodist Church, 6822 Grand Ave, in Duluth. Interment will be in Oneota Cemetery.
