

65, of Hermantown, died in his home on Saturday, January 14, 2012, after an extended battle with lung cancer. He was with his wife, as he desired.
Harland was born in Duluth on November 2, 1946 to Harland and Arbutus (Miner) Haglin. He graduated from Hermantown High School in 1964 and began working at Minnesota Power in 1966. On November 23, 1968 Harland married Judy Olson and they have been residents of Hermantown ever since.
He retired from Minnesota Power in 2006 after 40 years of service, mostly as a relay technician. Harland was an active member of Elim Lutheran Church, Duluth. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed bow hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed woodworking and creating or fixing things. His favorite activity was spending time with his family and friends, especially helping others with his time and talents.
Harland was preceded in death by his mother, father and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; his son, Chad and daughter-in-law, Lee Ann; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Sarah Grace and Zachary David Haglin.
Visitation from 5pm to 7pm Wednesday, January 18th at the Bell Brothers Funeral Chapel, 601 N. 56th Ave. West and will continue from 10am until the 11 am funeral service Thursday, January 19th at Elim Lutheran Church. 6101 Cody St. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
