Irene F Enrico

Irene F. Enrico passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Solvay Hospice House. She was born to Marcelia and John Rodorigo in Virginia, MN on September 4, 1924. She was a graduate of Virginia High School. Irene married, worked, traveled, volunteered and was blessed with two loving and caring families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Joseph, James, Baldino; husband, Calvin W. Mattson in 1970; son, Ronald G. Mattson in 1971; husband, Anthony A. Enrico in 1993; stepson, Roger Enrico in 2016 and stepson-in-law, Gordon Amhaus in 2012.

Irene is survived by her son, Dennis (Karen) Mattson of Minnetonka, MN and son, Michael (Linda) Mattson of Duluth; daughter-in-law, Catherine “Kitty” Mattson of Cloquet; stepson, Richard Enrico of Wayzata and stepdaughter-in-law, Jeanette Enrico of Mission Viejo, CA, stepdaughter-in-law, Rosemary Enrico of Dallas, TX; stepdaughter, Sharon Amhaus of Brandon, FL.; grandchildren, Christine Fehr, Patricia Mattson, Brent Mattson, Andra Mattson, Kyle Mattson; and stepgrandchildren, Tony, Steven, Dean, and Rick Enrico, Aaron Enrico, Eric and Craig Amhaus; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, 1419 St. Benedict Street, Duluth, with one hour of visitation prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Animal Allies and Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. Private Burial will take place in Virginia, MN.
