Irma set such a beautiful example of a Godly woman while we were at Bethel Baptist.  She was always so kindhearted, intelligent and her deep love of the Lord shone brightly.  I look forward to seeing her again in eternity.

I will always remember Irma's leadership for the Sunday School at Bethel Baptist Church. She had a most positivie attitude and joy in the Lord. Even years later when I would see her, she remembered me and made me feel special, as she had done when I was a child. She died on my Mom's birthday - so I bet they celebrated together with the Lord.

Auntie Irma was a wonderful woman full of God's love.  She will be sorely missed and forever remembered.  Love to the Gibson/Dornacker family during this time.

I have so many memories of you and the family.   I especially remember you coming home from work when I was visiting with grandma and grandpa at their apartment at 214 E. Second Street and all the Christmas family gatherings during the war years.   You were always a part of these gatherings and I will always have fond memories of you.  Love you - Your nephew

My Great Aunt Irma was an amazing person!  When my husband and I moved to Birmingham, AL at the end of 1997, Aunt Irma said she would call me, and that she did--every single Friday night at 6:15 precisely (except on those rare occasions when she was out having fun or treating somebody to lunch or dinner).  My husband, Michael, and I so looked forward to her call every Friday evening.  Irma had quite a sense of humor and would joke with my husband.  We have missed hearing from her these past few months but are lucky that we got to be with her in September when we traveled back home to Duluth.  I have fond memories of the Sunday School picnics she would take me and my sister Susan to and we rehashed those outings many times over.

To all of her family and friends, let us share stories of the one we love.  For it is in the stories of joy and sorrow, laughter and tears, that her memory will last forever.

I'm going to miss you, Great Aunt Irma!  Sleep in peace.

Our loss is Heaven's gain.  One of our very best family memories is receiving Irma's Christmas card and check every year when we were living in Kenya.  We always used her gift to attend one of the annual Nairobi Christmas Pantomimes (a British theatrical comedy based on a familiar fairy tale).  Irma continued to send Christmas checks for several years even after we'd moved back to the US- and we have continued this tradition by attending a movie together as a family every Christmas since 1996. Thank you, Irma, for your love, encouragement, and very special impact on our family.  Looking forward to the day we'll again celebrate our friendship in Heaven. Besides my immediate family, Irma has had the most positive and profound impact of anyone in my life. I will forever be in debt to Irma, and look forward to thanking her again on the other side.

I remember Irma from Bethel Baptist, she was a friend of my step mother Ruth Carlson Laulo.  She was a great woman.
