Michael was born in Duluth July 5, 1964 to William and Dorothy Weiler. He graduated from Proctor High School in 1982. On August 15, 1987, he married his high school sweetheart, Kristie Ophus.
Michael was employed by the city of Duluth. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was also a fan of the Vikings and the Minnesota Wild.
He was preceded in death by his father, William in 1999.
Michael is survived by his wife, Kristie; son, Jacob (Samantha); daughter, Jordan (Jesse); mother, Dorothy; sister, Heidi (Brian) Nelson; niece, Melinda; and nephew, Nolan.
Per Mike’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
