Ronald M. Elde

Ronald was born on August 6, 1934 to Matt and Carmela Elde in Duluth. He attended Proctor High School and graduated in 1952.

He married Dixie Laney on Feb. 3, 1953 and they were married for 60 years. Ron was a hard-working man and worked on the Canadian National DWP for 49 years. Ron was always doing something with family. He loved being with family; his enjoyment was his grandkids and great-grandkids. Ron was a Nopeming rink manager and a little league coach. He spent time at auctions but his true enjoyment was spending time at the lake.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife; and parents.

He is survived by his son, Greg; daughters, Deb (Eric) Madson, and Candi (Les) Reed; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren on the way; his brother, Earl (Darlene) Elde; sister, Claudia (William) Garrett; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27th in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Proctor and continuing Saturday, Nov. 28th from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service, in the church.
