
Tillie Herbranson, 98, was peacefully called to the Lord, at Diamond Willow, Proctor Minnesota on November 24th, 2014. Tillie was born November 3rd, 1916 in Virginia Minnesota, to Anthony and Josephine Kruszewski. She attended Denfeld High school. On June 10th, 1944 she married George Herbranson. Tillie lived in Proctor, Minnesota and worked at The DM&IR Railroad during the WWII years. Tillie was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Proctor, Minnesota. She volunteered at Hillside Gardens and Proctor Food Shelf. Tillie will be especially remembered for her creation of countless afghans for her family and community members. Tillie enjoyed numerous bus trips and long walks with her daughter-in-law Cin Herbranson. Tillie also looked forward to her daughter Sandy visiting from Colorado. Her son Pogo loved his mom dearly and will miss her. Lisa, her granddaughter, has many special memories of all of the times she spent with her grandma “T”. Tillie adored her great-grandchildren Paige and Cullen Tranah. Tillie also took great pleasure in gathering with her many nephews, nieces, and special friends Blanche Moen and Bea Maki from the World Traveler cottage & many more.
Tillie is survived by her two children, Sandy Wicklund of Colorado Springs, CO; George “Pogo” (Cindy) Herbranson of Midway Township, MN; granddaughter Lisa (Curt) Tranah of Esko, MN; and two great-grandchildren Paige and Cullen Tranah, and many nephews and nieces. Tillie was preceded in death by her husband George E. Herbranson.
Tillie had a recent 98th birthday celebration that honored her life where she was surrounded by family and friends. A private family burial will be at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth, Minnesota.
