Kerry Ross Walker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandpa, Kerry Ross Walker, on January 16, 2024 at the age of 63. He was born in Winnipeg, MB on December 24, 1960 to parents Speed Walker (Fay) and Helga Stout (Larry).

Predeceased by parents Speed Walker and Helga Stout, daughter Karena and granddaughter Kricket. Kerry is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Elaine, children Crystal, Sandy, Kris, Thea and Cole, grandchildren Kipper, Ocean, Hunny and Zyon, as well as siblings, Kevin, Kelly (Rhonda), Cheryl {TJ}, Curt {Michelle}, Landis, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and extended family.

Kerry was an avid golfer who dreamed of becoming a professional golfer. Although he may not have made it to the pros, he could still be found on the green as often as he was able. He had a great sense of humor and was always trying to pull off jokes to make everyone laugh. Kerry was a strong, hardworking and dedicated man who was devoted to his family. He was best friends with his son Cole, and passed a love of so many things to him. They enjoyed spending time together golfing, playing guitar, writing songs, fishing, camping and panning for gold. Kerry loved being with his daughter, Thea, who taught him how to felt, a hobby that he enjoyed so much. They spent the last year driving the back roads, bird watching and whale watching. He was grateful to have time with his family, especially his daughter Thea, who cared for him for the last year. He was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed. He always wanted to be an eagle flying in the sky.

A Celebration of Life will be announced later in the Spring time, as that was his favorite season. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kerry’s name may be made to the Victoria Child Abuse Prevention and Counselling Centre.
