Lou-Jane Williams

passed away January 31st, 2017 in Chemainus, BC.

Jane was born in Victoria to Eileen and John Williams on October

4, 1968. Jane graduated from Oak Bay High School in 1986. She went on

to earn her Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Victoria. Jane enriched the lives of so many students teaching music at Alex Aitken before moving to

Chemainus Elementary for the last 15 years. While at Chemainus she taught music and then

went on to teach in the classroom sharing her love of learning with the children and her

colleagues. Jane completed her Masters Degree in Education at VIU in Nanaimo in 2013.

Jane had a passion for life and a smile that would light up a room. She loved creating art,

re-finishing furniture, knitting, playing guitar, piano, and many other

instruments. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Buzz, and two cats,

Guss and Bad Kitty.

Jane is preceded in death by her father John. She is survived by her mother, Eileen,

4 brothers, Glynne, Chris, David, Peter, and son Davey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Chemainus Elementary Community School, 3172 Garner

Street, Chemainus on January 11, 2017 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s name can be made to Chemainus Elementary

Community School Natural Playspace Fund. 3172 Garner Street, Chemainus. BC, V0R 1K2
