After a long and sometimes difficult battle with emphysema, Peter passed away at home with Grand-daughter Raechelle and Daughter Sarah at his side.
Peter was predeceased last November by his loving wife Margaret (Maggie) of 55 years.
Peter leaves his children Mark (Cathy), Gary (Patti) and Sarah (Sandy) and his Grand Children and Great Grand Children. He also leaves his brothers Tony (Betty) and Ian (Kirsten).
Not just a family man, Peter was also very community minded. He was a Scout and Cub leader. He started the first Coed Venture Group in Canada, as well as coaching baseball and hockey for many years. ( Go Blue Jays)
When it was decided that Mill Bay needed a fire department, Peter was a founding member. He later became Chief and was instrumental in making the Department what it is today.
