

Myron Lawrence Lake Born April 26, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away at the age of 96 on August 17, 2015 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Proceeded in death by his lovely wife Lucille Lake, son Jay Lake and son Keith Lake. Survived by son Roy Lake and wife Kathy Ann, daughter Lois Coleman, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson on the way and friends that are left to cherish his memory at Wheatland Bible Chapel. Myron served his Country in her time of need in the United States Army in WW II and received a Purple Heart, 2 Bronze Stars, European African Campaign, WW II Veteran Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Sharp Shooter Badge, Good Conduct badge, Honorable Service Medal, Qualification Combat Infantryman Award, and he was in the infantry that liberated Germany. By obedience he was a constant point man and stood his ground to protect his brothers in arms as he was the lead man to enter every enemy city in combat. Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday August 20, 2015 at David Clayton and Sons. Funeral Services will be 10 AM Friday, August 21, 2015 at David Clayton and Sons Chapel with Pastor Vic Bartlow officiating. Interment will follow at Little Bethel Memorial Gardens in Hamilton North where Myron will be laid to rest beside his wife Lucille Lake. Military Honors will also be rendered due to his faithful service in the United States Army.
