Grace Ann Maynard

Grace Anne Maynard (nee Reid and Bartlett) died at the age of 94, on Friday, October 6, 2023 at AgeCare Willowgrove LTC. Mother of Jaye-Anne Bartlett; Harry Oliver (Yvonne Pritchard) and Donald Bartlett (deceased January 18, 2020). Grandmother to Adrian Oliver (Denay); Harry Oliver, Jr. (Jeanette); Keith and Curtis Bartlett. Great Grandmother to three girls and five boys. She is also survived by her longtime friend Jean Hartman and several nieces and nephews. Grace was the youngest of Harry and Ann (Ferguson) Oliver. Grace grew up in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, with her eight siblings and many cousins and friends.

Grace was a member of the MacNab Presbyterian Church and she loved her Masonic ties as she was the Past Worthy Supreme Commander of the Order of True Kindred; Past Royal Matron of Riverdale Court Order of the Amaranth; Member of Eastern Star of Quebec; Member of Oasis Temple #46 Daughters of the Nile Montreal and Member at large of White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home (905-528-6303), 615 Main Street East, Hamilton on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am. Funeral service to celebrate Grace’s life to follow. Final resting place at Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
