Stewart leaves behind his heartbroken parents John and Robin, brother Graeme (Kelsey), sister Amanda and nephews Dustin and Chace. Treasured grandson of Wilma Henderson. He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles including Maureen, Larry, Karin, Kathy, Stan, Christine, Nancy, Al, Cathy, Don, cousins Stephen, Samantha, Emma, Joel, Tessa, Tom, John, Kevin, Christopher, Emma and Reese, along with many friends and colleagues in Hamilton, Peterborough and Petawawa.
Stewart graduated from Trent University in 2019 with a degree in Philosophy and where he proudly captained the Trent Excalibur Men’s Varsity Volleyball team. He then pursued a career with the Canadian Armed Forces where he had recently started a position as Troop Commander with the 2nd Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, stationed at Garrison Petawawa. Stewart also had secured a spot with the CAF’s CISM volleyball team and was excited to be able to continue his passion. We will all miss Stewart’s subtle yet droll sense of humour and his laid back, sweet, quiet ways.
A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hamilton Food Share or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
