Born in Beckley, West Virginia, Robert moved to Dunedin in 1953 and opened Williams Fish Camp at Curlew Creek on Alternate 19. From 1970 to 1996 he and his wife owned and operated Florida Shades, Inc. in Palm Harbor. Robert was a charter member and elder of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Dunedin. He was a founding member and President of the Countryside Rotary Club and was very active in the community. In 1996 Robert retired to Port Richey, FL until his return to Dunedin in February of 2013. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Merilyn Williams and children Barbara Williams Frazier, West Clapp, Cindy Clapp Cadle, and Cathy Clapp Lewis, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, May 30 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Suncoast Hospice.
