Winnie was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She moved to Florida in 1947 from Detroit, Michigan.
She was the Executive secretary for the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce for many years. Winnie was an accomplished dressmaker.She loved to read and dance.
Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, John T. Carroll and Adalene Pettigrew, also her husband, Paul Henry Ficht in 1960.
She is survived by her stepdaughter Holly (Bill) Gallups of Panacea, Florida.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida.
