Godwin, NC Ms. Barbara Hardesty Baker, age 83, of Godwin died Thursday Morning, April 30, 2015 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. Ms. Baker was born April 10, 1932 in Ashland, Ohio the daughter of the late Judson H. & Mildred McCoy Hardesty and is preceded in death by her husband, Walter T. Baker and sons, Gary Ray Reed & Danny Lee Reed, a brother Johnny Hardesty and 2 sisters, Shirley & Jeanine Hardesty Ms. Baker was a U.S. Army veteran. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, NC She is survived by: A Son: Glen R. Reed, Jr. & (wife) Hyeson of Godwin, NC 2 Daughters: Nancy Ann Baker of Godwin, NC and Bonnie K. Reed of Ok. 6 Sisters: Dorothy Bell, Ruth Barrick, Sue MacElwanin, Wanda Unger & Ruby Lyons all of Ohio and Kay Ishmael of South Carolina. A Brother: William (Bill) Hardesty of Ohio 9 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren The family will receive friends Monday Evening, May 4, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home.
