Brenda Gayle Johnson

Brenda Gayle Johnson, age 75 of Dunn, died on Friday, March 5, 2020 at Baptist Health Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Brenda was born on July 19, 1945 in Johnston County the daughter of the late Wilbert David Strickland and Ellie Mae Ivey Strickland.

Brenda’s family was the most important part of her life and she loved face timing with her grandchildren. She dearly loved her dog Daisy, Coca-Cola, Cheetos, and NASCAR.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens Cemetery.

She is survived by her significant other, Charles Allen of Dunn, NC.

Son: Christopher Johnson & (wife) Heather of Guston, Kentucky.

Adopted Daughter: Caryn Winstead of Gastonia, N.C.

Step-Daughters: Kim Campbell, Michelle Allen & Laura Ventura

Grandsons: Zachary L. Johnson of Newburgh, IN, Christopher B. Johnson, Jr. of Claremont, FL. and Joshua G. Johnson of Guston, KY.

Great Grandchildren: Liam, Ashton, Nirvana and one on the way.

Sister: Phyllis Monds of Dunn, NC and a Niece: Amy Barbour & (husband) Mark.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday Evening, March 9, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
