Clayton West

Clayton West, age 70 of Autryville formerly of Erwin died Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville.

Clayton was born on June 10, 1951 in Erwin the son of the late Clarence Thomas West, Sr. and Catherine Stewart West and is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Jackson West. He is also preceded in death by sons, Kevin and James West, a granddaughter, Taylor West, a brother and four sisters.

Clayton was a retired framer in the building industry. He loved hunting and running the hunting dogs.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday Evening, July 20, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.

He is survived by: a son: Jeremy West of Coats, NC.

Daughters: Jennifer Cherry of Benson, NC; Kelly West of Coats, NC and Courtney Smith and (husband) Jordan of Coats, NC.

Son-in-Law: Wayne Cherry of Newton Grove, NC.

Grandchildren: Victoria Cherry, Alexis West, Gavin Cherry, Quentin Cherry, Olivia West, Kaylynn West and Malachi Clayton West.

Brother: Donald West of Coats, NC and Virginia Pope of Dunn, NC

Companion: Judy Faircloth of Autryville, NC

Step-Daughters: Jodi Gainey, Connie Gainey both of Eastover, NC and Tammy Sessoms of New Bern, NC.

Step-Son: Johnny Faircloth of Autryville, NC.
