Dunn, NC Mrs. Hermie Lee Pope, age 81, of Arrowhead Rd., Dunn died Saturday Morning, January 2, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Pope was born in Harnett County on December 10, 1934 the daughter of late Herman Lucas and Vada Jackson Lucas and is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Pope. She is also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Mrs. Pope loved life with a passion. She was an avid gardner, loved her flowers and canning the fruits of her labor. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. She is survived by: A Son: Jimmy Pope & wife Donna of Coats, NC 4 Daughters: Brenda Wood & husband Larry of Erwin, NC; Jenny Weaver-Powell & husband Ray of Dunn, NC; Becky P. Register & husband Randy of Godwin, NC and Teresa Matthews of Godwin, NC A Sister: Patricia McLamb of Dunn, NC 11 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren The Family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 4, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
