He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Bush; paternal grandparents, Albert and Elizabeth Howlett.
Being born in December he was delivered to his parents in a stocking on Christmas Day. An avid Denver Broncos, Boston Red Socks and Sopranos fan, working for over 20 years in the restaurant industry. He was stubborn but was just a big teddy bear. But what brought much joy to his life were his children.
James was survived by his ex-wife, Callie Ann Howlett; two sons, Bryce and Owen Howlett; one daughter, Liliana Howlett, all of Clayton, NC; parents, Harold and Joanne Howlett of Syracuse, NY; one sister, Jessica Close (James) of Syracuse, NY; one brother, Jason Howlett of Dunn, NC; four nieces, Penelope Close, Harlow Close, Madison Howlett and Marissa “Riz” Howlett; and host of family and friends.
