Polly Fowler Lucas, age 69 of Dunn, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at her home. Polly was born February 1, 1950 in Harnett County the daughter of the late Addison D. Fowler, Sr. and Eunice Holland Fowler and is preceded in death by her husband, Luther W. “Bud” Lucas. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Martin Joel and Addison D. Fowler, Jr. and a sister Becky Fowler McLeod. Polly was raised to work hard, she farmed and enjoyed working outside in her flowers. She went back to school in 1990 and got her GED 20 plus years after she had quit school. Polly enjoyed life, she never met a stranger and loved people, she was a “Prayer Warrior” for those in need. She gave her heart to the Lord in 1985 and taught the Teenager’s Sunday School Class for 7 years. She started preaching in 1993, and started Trinity Holiness Chapel Church in 1999. She soon became a member at Taylor’s Chapel Church of God of Prophecy in Sampson County.
She is survived by her son: Jack Andrew Lucas & (wife) Irene of Newton Grove, NC; daughter: Carolyn Ann Tate & (husband) Daniel of Texas; grandchildren: Pamela Irene Lucas, Tonya Ann Lucas, Amber Dawn McLamb & Brian Andrew Lucas, many Nieces and Nephews that she loved dearly and many special Friends and her extended family: Ashley & Danny Wagoner, Hannah & Hailey Wagoner.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Howard, Rev. Jerome Pope & Rev. Rayford McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in Pineland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday Evening from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
