Alan was born in Buffalo, New York on February 13, 1938 to Neil and Elva (Kuebrich) Vieaux. He was a 1956 graduate of Bennett High School in Buffalo. He worked at many local companies, from his early years at American Brass to retiring from Orville's Appliances, in addition to servicing appliances for customers on his own for many years. After retirement, Al and Mary Jane enjoyed many years at their cottage in Cedar Bay, Canada in the summers and winters at their patio home in Sarasota, Florida.
Al's hobbies included golf, softball and bowling, playing on several local teams in Clarence for many years. He also enjoyed fishing, cornhole and throwing horseshoes. Another of Al's passions was music, playing trumpet in the Niagara Militaires Drum Corp, listening to jazz and becoming a fan of WNED Classical.
Fondly known as "Uncle Al, the kiddie's pal", he is also survived by many cherished nephews and nieces.
Alan was the beloved husband of the late Mary Jane (nee Long) ; dear father of Tracey Vieaux (Josie Cheung), Michele (Simon) Trim, Alan (Alicia), Jason (Erine) and Courtney Vieaux; dear grandfather of Emilie (Samuel) Stoelting, Grace, Gabriel, and Evangelene Vieaux; brother of Michele Webb (Jack) and the late Patti Armstrong (late Richard). Friends may call Saturday, January 24 from 10am-12 noon at the DENGLER, ROBERTS, PERNA FUNERAL HOME, 8630 Transit Rd., East Amherst, (one mile north of Maple Rd., just past Klein Rd.), where a Celebration of Alan’s Life will be held at 12 noon.
