Betty Jane was born January 30, 1928 in the Town of Clarence, NY to the late Joseph and Florence (Thering) Fraas and was a longtime resident of Pendleton and Lockport, NY.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl G. Smith, daughter Sheree L. (Russ) Jossey, brothers, Ernest J. (Anne) Fraas, T. James (Edna) Fraas, Raymond (Carol) Fraas and sisters, Marie (Raymond) Miskuf, Dolores Galyen, Carol (Chester) Vitovitch and Eileen Fraas.
She is survived by her daughters Elaine (Larry) Cooke, Deborah (Michael) Zilbauer, grandchildren Kristin Mullin, Kimberly Mullin, Glenn (Rachel) Zilbauer, three great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends may visit Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Rd., East Amherst, NY 14051 on Monday (April 7, 2025) from10-11am. A service will immediately follow at 11am. She will be laid to rest with her loving husband, Earl G. Smith, at Acacia Park Cemetery in North Tonawanda, NY.
