David A. Geater

August 10, 1930 - January 8, 2026

Beloved husband of 69 years to Elizabeth A. (nee Sasse) Geater; dear father of Beth (Jim) Hitro; grandfather of Jeffrey Hitro and Jamie (Matt Schultz) Hitro; great grandfather of Sadie and Maya; son of the late Richard and Elizabeth Geater; brother of the late Joyce (Richard) Barbach and William (Dorothy) Geater. Dave was a graduate of Kenmore High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1949-1953 and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant while serving in Wiesbaden, Germany. Dave was a proud life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the owner of Geater Associates in Tonawanda, N.Y., offering technical sales throughout New York State and Southern Ontario. The company was started in the 1970s and he retired in 1989. He was extremely faithful. At every family/friend gathering, he led the conversations with Jesus Christ. He also participated in missionary trips to Haiti. He was baptized Episcopal but participated with his wife Elizabeth at St. Gregory the Great RC Church. No prior visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be planned in the future. Burial was held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
