So incredibly sorry for your loss such an incredible man I knew I'm only for a short time he was was that St Anthony's when I met him such a kind soul you knew you were safe when you're around him we lost our nephew and he barely knew any of us but he was right there for everyone even came to the cemetery and did a prayer for us

Such an incredible influence the most caring compassionate person I ever met barely met my sister and when her son passed he was right there to see such a loving kind words even medicine at the cemetery on an anniversary date never forgotten renewed my faith in the Lord

Father Gary came into our lives after the tragic loss of our child.  His kind and empathetic words provided us comfort and honestly is the reason we kept our faith.  He will never be forgotten.  Ever.  Lasting impact on our life. 

This man made such an impact on my life . Since 1997 he has been my rock my mentor and my father he was their for me when my toughest times where upon me and never judged me for my action I found out today December 17th my best friend died and I did not know .. I am so lost and heartbroken I will miss you Father Gary ... Sincerely  ,

In this joyous season of Advent, we are warned to be prepared: we do not know the day or hour for our earthly life to end. We are also preparing for Baby Jesus and the Holy Family...we are preparing for our families! We prepare for our human lives to end and aspire to our spiritual life in Heaven, it is our journey! Father Gary's earthly life has ended and after years of preparation he is ready to spiritually rejoice in Heaven! How wonderful to be in Heaven as we celebrate Baby Jesus and this Blessed Christ-mas season! I'd like to share this one memory of Father Gary, there are so many (Beach Mass at Evangola State Park, the release of doves at Father Gary's Farewell mass). It was the children's First Holy Communion. He spoke so tenderly about the beauty of Christ's Love for each of us and how special it is to be at the table with Him to share this "Happy Meal" (reference made to McDonald's "Happy Meal")! He was so good with our children and all the ages of our Parish Family! We wish Father's family and friends Peace, Love and Joy!

     Father Gary was a beacon of light and hope for everyone who came into his life.  He loved to talk with people.  He often walked into the swamp to feed his little animal friends oyster crackers.  He always talked about the importance of making memories with your family and friends.  He thoroughly enjoyed watching the old reruns of “ Leave it to Beaver”, and had an abundance of knowledge about the real lives of the actors and actresses on that show.  He loved movies or shows with happy endings.  
      Father was always busy- always going wherever they needed him to help with masses, hospital visits and other religious duties.            
     Over the past seven years, Father Gary became a dear friend to me, as I dealt with the loss of my husband.  He always would remind me of how strong I was, in dealing with this loss.  Father Gary was an exemplary priest, and one of the finest people that I have ever known.  I was so blessed by his presence in my life.  Heaven has gained such a beautiful angel.

Our hearts are broken at the loss of Father Gary. My husband Conrad and I have had the pleasure of being Father Gary’s neighbor at Wedgewood for  the past 6 years. He was such a holy priest and wonderful man. We feel blessed to have known him and he will be sadly missed

I have very special memories of this wonderful priest who I met during my husband's illness and his kindness and understanding radiated the light of God's love ...

Dear Father Gary Family and Friends: Father Gary was one of the most incredible people I have ever known. He was for sure God in a man’s body. He was always there for everyone to offer his support and love. He was there for every major event in our children’s life. He made Lockport a complete city and was always welcoming to anyone who came to visit. When St Marys closed and he left there was a giant hole that could not be filled, and Lockport became just another dot on the map. We will always remember and love him. The Bolt Family: Margaret, Kevin, Nathaniel, Christopher, Jonathan and Elizabeth.

My sympathy for the sad loss of one of our family! I'm sorry we've lost touch over the years, but remember all of the fun times we had as children. Gary was always the religious one among us, God has taken him home where he belongs. He will always be missed.

We first met Fr. Gary when he Baptized my grandson 21yrs. ago at St. Mary’s in Lockport. At that time we never thought he would become a special friend to our family. There are so many thoughts I would love to share but one is that each time he came for dinner he would bring a dessert, apple pie, peanut butter pie, etc., I would say Fr. Gary you do not have to bring something and he would say oh yes I do. My mother always said when someone invites you to their home you take a thank you gift then he would give a huge smile. RIP Fr. Gary, you will be missed and in our hearts forever.

Father Gary was such a kind and loving pastor who truly became a family friend sharing meals with us at our home, especially on several Christmas Eves between masses. He gave new life to our parish in Oakfield when assigned in the 90's. Father Gary's homilies were like no other, always inspiring and holding a special message. His stay at our parish left a lasting impression never to be forgotten. One humorous memory was when we were having a meeting in the rectory and I had baked some desserts and dropped them off ahead of time. Upon returning I brought the desserts out only to find an entire layer of the caramel bar cookies had been eaten ! We had a good laugh.  Father Gary, you will be so missed and will always be in our hearts.  Rest in Peace !

Very sad to hear of Fr. Kibler's passing.  I only knew him from attending Mass at Christ the King.  He was a breath of fresh air and he will be greatly missed.  RIP Fr. Kiebler....

Father Gary was our priest for 3 years at St. Anthony’s Parish in Farnham. He brought so many people back to church and was such a gentle man. He was so much like Jesus. He will be missed. I am saddened about his death as he was a superb priest.  He had a heart of gold and a loving way about him.  I absolutely loved his 430 pm Masses that he celebrated at St Gregory the Great.  He was taken way too soon.     Father Gary please watch over us and know how much we loved you!!!

Our family was so saddened to hear of the passing of father Gary. We have had the pleasure of being his neighbor for the last 8 years. He was always so kind and would come out to talk to my grandkids every time he saw them outside playing. We enjoyed him very much and we will miss his smiling face. RIP father Gary.

I was so saddened to learn of Father Gary's passing.  What a wonderful priest he was!  Every mass he said at St. Greg's was unique, with taped music he brought to be played during communion.  It was always something that fit the theme of the readings and prayers of the day.   He just exuded warmth and caring for everyone.  I am certain he is being welcomed into the loving arms of God.  Rest in peace, Father Gary! You will be missed.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Father Gary Kibler. Honestly I had only known or known OF him for a handful of years. We would often attend 4:30 mass at our church, St Gregory The Great, and what a treat it was to see Fr Gary as the celebrant. 

There was just something about Father Gary and the way he celebrated mass. He would do some explaining before “important” parts of the mass (in such a reverential and spiritual way); would always sing Kyrie; tell such wonderful stories in his homilies often followed by a popular verse of a song to finish. 

And how could you not love how he would come to the center aisle and join hands with people on both sides as we recited the Lord’s Prayer?  Just beautiful. 

Then one thing I will always remember and hold dear. After one mass where he inspired me, on the way out in the foyer we shook hands. I said “Father Gary you really inspired me today”. He had this little wink of his eye which he used and responded  “YOU inspire me”.

  I am surely saddened by his passing too soon. At the same time I celebrate in my heart all that he meant in such a short time of knowing him. 

Gary Kibler will be sorely missed. I had the privilege of teaching with Gary for several years. He exemplified the ideals of his calling in every way. He was consistently kind, compassionate, and a true friend to all he met.  He was a man of peace who paved a path of peace for all who wished to follow. I feel honored to have known Gary for so many years. Thank you, Gary! M. Pikus 

Father led my RCIA class and we had so much fun. He and my husband would play racquetball, he would call and say this is the good Gary can I speak to the bad Gary.  So many fun memories and stories.  We went to Toronto for a weekend. We were walking down the street and I had my head turned and walked right into a parking meter! Luckily I wasn’t hurt and the three of us had a great laugh.  Later that year for my birthday he gave me a five foot parking meter bank! He was a wonderful man and great friend. Our hearts are heavy but we know he is in a better place.  God bless the good Gary.

St. Cecelia’s church (St. Padre Pio Parish) , Oakfield 

Fr. Gary came to be our pastor in the early 90’s and we were truly blessed to have him for 5-6 years.  He immediately gave new life to our parish community. He was a builder of faith and friendship. His footprints can still be found on our grounds and in our building as he spearheaded a new build capital improvement project that we still reap the rewards from every time we enter our church. 
When I read the other memories it’s easy to see he impacted all of us in the same way.  We are better people and Christians for knowing him. 
What I would give to hear one last homily from him

Father Gary was not only a beautiful man of God, but a true shepherd to the flock he served. He was our spiritual leader at our beloved St. Mary’s Patish in Lockport, and became a dear friend and mentor to our whole family.  We shared  meals together around our kitchen table ( his favorite being mozzarella stuffed meatballs and lasagna) to our shared birthday breakfasts at our favorite meeting place, The Original Pancake House. We so enjoyed our Parish picnics together,  as well as all the gatherings at his dear cousin Carole and Keith’s lovely home, where we got to meet more of his wonderful family and beautiful Mother. It was such an honor to sing Pie Jesu for her Funeral Mass. Whenever any of us performed anywhere, he was always  in attendance and supported our shared love of music and the arts enthusiastically. He was not only a cherished guest but officiated in renewing our vows before family and friends at  our 45th Anniversary in July, 2019. Then again at Joey and Jessi’s Wedding  on July 4, 2020. We had no idea then that that would be the last time we’d see him in person. We kept in touch  via email and cards, and plans were in the making for brunch at The Pancake House soon…but the pandemic intercepted the completion of that reunion. We will never forget you Father Gary and the life changing impact you had on all of us; your beautiful voice and extraordinary homilies (which we affectionately called fireside chats meet the sermon on the mount), your unforgettable Christmas Eve Masses and Easter Vigils, playing Dust in the Wind on Ash Wednesday, to reading Dr. Suess’ “Oh the Places We’ll Go” at Graduation time and Max Lucado’s “The Crippled Lamb” at Christmas, just to name a few. You had the gift of genuine kindness and making everyone feel special. Heaven has gained another Angel. We are  blessed to have had you in our lives and now as “someone to watch over us”. Well done  good and faithful servant. We love you.💙

I first met Fr. Gary about 3 years ago after just finishing RCIA. I had went to confession and was blessed to have Fr. Gary hear my confession, and we then became friends. We would meet every few months , and just discuss each other’s lives and talk about spirituality. Gary was such a kind loving soul, who will be so missed by so many, he touched so many lives. My prayers go out to his family and friends. 

I met Father Gary 21 years ago, never did I think he would end up being one of the most important people in my life.  I began going to St. Mary’s in Lockport and was so taken in by his words, his voice, and his message. Every week I left feeling truly inspired and closer to God.  When my son was 7 he ended up at Children’s Hospital with an almost fatal appendicitis,  all he wanted was for Father Gary to come by him. Father Gary quickly came and gave him Last Rights. It was at that moment we became family.  As the years went by, he was always part of our celebrations, holidays, or just simple get togethers. He had a heart of gold, and I hope he knows how much he was treasured and loved so dearly by us. We are heartbroken to lose someone who meant to us, and he will be missed beyond measure. I thank God for bringing such an amazing man into our lives when we needed him most. As we go on in this life, he will always be forefront in our mind and hearts. We so loved him at St Greg's. What a beautiful priest. He certainly consoled the Heart of Jesus with his vocation. He will be missed.

My most heart full condolences on the death of Rev. Gary R.  Kibler. May the love of God and his promise of eternal life, comfort you in this. He was a great Priest and Person. 

 For more than 50 years Fr. Gary has been my hero, my friend, my mentor, an exemplary priest and minister of God's extravagant love - he was a  precious gift from God to my life. 

Here's my favorite pic of Gary that sums up his life. Bending down to serve and lift up others - anyone - was the crux of his life and ministry. Washing their feet in so many ways as folks trod through this life, Gary was respite and hope for them. He taught me how to serve - please God, I make him proud until we meet again.

Tell people you love them if you do. Gary and I never ended a phone call without telling each other we loved one another. That is my consolation at this moment.

Father Gary was a dear, dear friend. We first met him when he was assigned to St. Mary's High School. He married 3 of my/our children, baptized 4 of our Grandchildren. Our/my son, Kurt, would still meet with Father Gary usually once a month. He offered my husband's Funeral Mass. At the breakfast we held after Mass, I had several people timidly approach me, telling me: "I don't know how to say this, but, that was the best Funeral Mass I have been to!" Father Gary knew my husband well and as a result, he made his Mass a true "celebration of life".
I will miss my friend and I console myself knowing he is in heaven, with my husband....heaven only knows what will happen!

Our Dear Father Gary…From the first time we heard you sing at our small church in Farnham we knew you were special, so did everyone else who attended mass that day and everyday you were there.  It was the same in every parish you moved to.  We know that because we followed you until you retired.  You are a dear and treasured friend.  You mentored Ryan through private first communion classes, and Randy through his conversion to Catholicism.  You married Ali and Brendan and I got to share my love of music with you at the Saturday mass at St. Mary’s.  You were a spiritual leader in every sense, a true holy man and you were our friend.  We will miss your stories and beautiful homilies, and sharing wine, dinner and conversation.  You have touched so many lives in your warm, compassionate way.  We miss you already, but know you are in Jesus’s arms and will be using that beautiful voice of yours to sing with the angels.  Thank you for loving us…we love you and will carry you in our hearts. I first met Fr. Gary at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish and was moved by his gentle spirit and wonderful homilies.  Shortly after his new assignment to St. Anthony's in Farnham, I approached him about being my spiritual director.  This occured over 20 years ago and he had remained my spiritual director and a true friend to both me and my wife until the day the Lord called him home. Father Gary was a good and kind  man with a delightful sense of humor; a wise and wonderful friend and a truly "holy" priest.  He faithfully served God's people with humility, love and compassion. Father Gary was a true shepherd who carefully guarded his flock. I will miss him so very much.

I used to go to his mass during  the week and u walk in and he would b playing at the piano  singing  before  mass he always knew everyone  name and made you feel  important  he is a guardian angel  now he will b deeply  missed


Father Gary made an impression and significant impact on my life and many other lives he touched.  His presence was one that made everyone in our community feel joyfully welcomed! I saw him a few years ago at a beach mass and again spoke with him after he celebrated an Ash Wednesday service.  Since those meetings with him I felt compelled to be more involved in my parish as a Eucharistic Minister and lector! God bless all who share in this loss.

Father Gary is so loved! by the young and old, sinners and saints, and everyone in between! He pastored our parish, St. Anthony's, Farnham, for only two short years! His masses were celebrations. His voice was calm and strong. Father Gary was a man full of surprises, a singer and an excellent pianist! He told the best stories and his homilies were inspired! Father Gary is close to Jesus! Peace, Love, Joy! Our heartfelt condolences to his family!
