Ted and Linda I am so deeply sorry for your loss.  I just learned of the passing of your son.   Loosing anyone is hard but it is truly sad to loose a child. My heart aches for you.

I worked with Ted at Whiting Door, I just learned of his passing and am very saddened. I work in the office and don't go into the plant real often, but when I did he was always there at the end of the stairs to greet me with a warm smile and good morning. The video is a lovely tribute to his beautiful life, he will be greatly missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to the lives he touched so deeply.

Genuinely sorry to hear about Teddy.
For what it’s worth, I’ll always remember him from early childhood in our 4th grade class (taking it back!). 

Teddy was one of the new kids and was instantly everyone’s best friend. Teddy, like me, attended speech class during the day while others had normal instruction. I used to feel awkward and lonely being reminded I had to go off to speech. But once Teddy was in the picture, that all changed. Now the new, “cool kid” in class and I got to spend some extra time together as we worked on our speaking skills. I distinctly remember one snowy Buffalo morning we were in speech class together and Teddy and I got to perform our own, homemade “tv show” for other students in the class. We were emcees for a game show, maybe it was our own version of “Jeopardy”. I felt like we formed a bond that day, working through our challenges together.

Teddy and I didn’t keep up much past middle school, but I always felt a warm kindness, almost like an aura, radiating from him. Even in high school you could hear his laughter fill the hallways. I always felt like Teddy and I could have a conversation and bring it back to those “elementary school speech” days. Teddy was a “safe place” if that makes sense.

Teddy’s memory will always live on with me. I can’t stress enough how warm and accepted he made others feel. Rest In Peace.

Teddy and our son Nathan struck up a friendship centered around ice skating,  They met at one of the Amherst ice rinks and Teddy came to skate and shoot pucks at our backyard rink several times.  We remember his smile and his easy way with conversation.  He also had an intense desire to learn to skate.   Linda, you may remember me from Daemen College.  We fondly remember Teddy and are saddened that he was taken so young.   He and you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
