Beverly Jane Bitz

Beverly J. Bitz, a resident of Elderwood at Hamburg, formerly of East Aurora, died Wednesday, June 25th, 2014. She was 91. Mrs. Bitz was born in Syracuse; daughter of the late Frederick and Norma Miner. She graduated from Syracuse Central High School in 1940. Since moving to East Aurora in 1997, Mrs. Bitz cherished the years she spent surrounded by her family, pets and her friends at the East Aurora Senior Center and Nativity Lutheran Church, where she was an active parishioner.

Beverly is survived by her children Cheryl (Michael) Kraus of East Aurora, Patricia (Alan) Mauch of Kansas City and Donald F. Bitz of Lake Worth, Florida; grandchildren Heidi (Karl) Potenza, Daniel Herbert, Derek Kraus, Christopher and Colin Mauch, Jaclyn Barlow, Cristi and Arne Bitz, as well as great-grandsons Anthony and Timothy Potenza; Mrs. Bitz was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Bitz and her parents, Frederick and Norma.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Nativity Lutheran Church, 970 East Main Street, East Aurora.
