Such a loss. I admired her resilience, selflessness. Putting others  before her. She was a simple girl, never take anything she didn't need  or  was offered. And made sure someone else needy got it. She had a calming affect on me. She was easy to like and to love. Not one complaint. Very caring. So talented. Fiercely loved her grandchildren. Rest in peace.

We all loved Denise!…. She had so many friends...all her wonderfully gifted creative friends!  And could Denise  ever create!!  Her drive to make something new and beautiful was a force I never ceased to admire.  She never hesitated to learn a new way of using fancy machines, even watching videos while half asleep in the Roswell intensive care.  Every week there were four new projects in progress from her imaginative mind - something unique and amazing…made out of nothing…a few scraps of cloth, fiber, or dye.   Denise, her many friends, and her wonderful family, all seem to have that magic gift!  

We were young Mom’s and newlyweds together, a really special, cherished time.  I lost touch with her during a flurry of our kids busy growing up years - but we reconnected during the harder years - of letting our kids go – of fighting cancer.   We found nothing to lift each other up like a walk in the woods…I saw God in nature…and she could capture His beauty in her creations.  

I am not sure if everyone knows how much Denise’s kids love her…but she sure as heck taught her children something invaluable…how to really love someone.  Both kids and their wives offered to have her come live with them, and care for her,  putting a halt on their own lives, so she did not have to leave this earth alone.   And Greg was there, holding her hand when she had to digest the bad news… “he is giving me strength” she quietly said to me.  We are so going to miss her!

Thank you -  Weston, Traci and Axl, Grant, Kathie, Barrett and Greg, and all her friends and family  - for sharing your Mom/Denise with me – and know – as much as you loved her…probably 100 times more – know she so loved you.

A very special person is gone but not forgotten. She will be missed!!!

So very sorry for the loss of everyone that knew her. Her kindness and upbeat attitude through the difficult times was commendable.

I didn’t know Denise for a long time, but she was an inspiration. We shared some health issues, and I loved her tenacity in dealing with them. We enjoyed sharing fiber art projects. I will miss our talks.

I was blessed to have the opportunity to know Denise. It was for a very short time, but I am thankful for our lives to have crossed. She was an amazing woman, and I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for her and her family. ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️

Sincerely felt sympathy for the Steiner and Zimmerman familys. I have known Denise since our high school days and will always cherish fond memories.
