I was saddened to learn of Lee's passing.  I was doing ancestry research to reconnect with my Buffalo relations, and also learned of Aunt Anne's (Anabel Lehman was my mother Jeanne's sister) passing. R.I.P. your cousin, Kathleen

Patti, I was shocked and saddened to hear about Lee. It brought back many good memories from a long time ago of working in the ICU together.Lots of laughs and fun! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Lee was one of the first people to befriend us years ago when my wife Lisa and I started our family here in East Aurora. His kindness and gentle manner made us feel welcome here and eased many concerns. He was a good man and will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Lee's passing.  I enjoyed my time spent with him in the Operating Room.  He was so good to me.  I have missed him and thought of him often since I left.  I have many fond memories and funny stories.  I will always be thankful for the opportunity to have known him.  He will always be part of the nurse I am today.

 I have lost my dear friend. He spread Joy to anyone he met. He demonstrated his Gratitude by helping others. His words were kind, encouraging, reflective and valuable to all who listened. He did not flatter; his voice was gentle, yet edifying in an honest manner. He was fond of sending out uplifting emails and text-messages that would arrive just when I needed my spirit rekindled. He was an excellent clinician and a diligent, tireless worker. He loved many well - especially his family. We have lost someone special and not replaceable...there is not another like Lee Bure. May God grant him a place to rest in peace - until we meet again.

Our friend Lee's early exit from our lives is an immeasurable loss to men and women everywhere. Lee, I believe, is the only "Honorary MD" accepted into the IDAA, a worldwide medical fellowship. Only Lee's Higher Power knows why He has taken our wonderful, Godly, fun loving, conscientious, hard working member home. His gifts to us who knew him, far and wide, have helped change lives of many who felt helpless and hopeless. Many of those have been given a second chance at life and Lee was a living example of living and telling others how this can come about. I'm very lucky to have had you as an Uncle and a Godfather. It's comforting to know that you are up in Heaven with my Anabel, I know she's taking great care of you. I am so very sorry for your loss. To you a husband, father, brother and son. To me, Lee was a gift. Lee was able to help me in a time where I could not help myself. What Lee has given to me and my family cannot be measured in dollars, cents, minutes or pounds.  It cannot be seen, felt or held. What he has given me is TODAY. He has given me the ability to see the good in all things and has taught me to be the person I have always wanted to be. He has shown me the power of honesty, compassion and forgiveness. 

I will forever be grateful to have had Lee in my life. I hope that in time, I can give to others a fraction of what he has so freely has given me. 

To Patti, Allyson and Parker, may God grant you courage and strength in this time of suffering.
