Robert Chester Filipski, October 29, 2011, age 68; loyal husband of Peggy (nee Haag) Filipski; dedicated father of Chad, Katie and Christa; loving grandfather of Logan and Lyla; brother of Elizabeth, Madeline and Debi; ; son of late Irene (nee Wrobel) and Chester Filipski.
Bob grew up in Springbrook, New York; he was a Naval veteran who served in the Bay of Pigs in the 60's, barber, jack of all trades and master of many. He loved sail boats and fishing. He was always looking to help others in any way possible with his generosity, widsom and encouragement. His love, bear hugs and smile will truly be missed. There is none that could take his place.
Friends may call Thursday 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial directly from Immaculate Conception RC Church, 520 Oakwood Avenue, East Aurora, on Friday at 9:30 AM.
