MURPHY-Lorraine T. (Bertolon) of Winthrop age 84, on January 10, 2011. Loving wife of 58 years to the late Bernard G. Murphy who passed away on November 14, 2010. Devoted mother of Edward F. Murphy and his wife Gail of Norfolk and Joseph R. Murphy of Winthrop. Daughter of the late Celio E. and Adele (Bertocchi) Bertolon. Dear sister of the late Eleanore A. Costa and her husband Antonio F. Costa. Loving aunt of Marcia Lieberman and her husband Robert of Norwood, Anthony Costa and his wife Debra of Mendon and many other nieces and nephews. Funeral from The Kirby-Rapino memorial Home, 917 Bennington St. (Orient Heights) EAST BOSTON on Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10am. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 4-8pm. Services will conclude with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Lorraine worked as a secretary for First National Stores for several years before working for Teamsters Union local #379 as their Secretary of Health and Welfare for many years.
