Legend has it that on March 16th, 1971, Adam was born with a fishing pole in his hand and began pursuing that passion avidly as soon as he was able to make his way to water. In order to finance this love, Adam was forced to seek gainful employment. He achieve this by tapping into his secondary passion - cooking. Over the years, he worked at a variety of restaurants and most recently branched into independently contracted food service work. This provided Adam with the flexible schedule necessary to adequately engage the freshwater inhabitants of Central and Eastern Connecticut.
Funny, kind and generous, Adam loved his friends and family fiercely and warmly. He leaves behind his brother Phil Rowe and sister Beth Armstrong Kluft; his stepfather Rip Armstrong, his nephew Joshua Rowe and niece Samantha Kluft, cousins Earl and Eric Eaton as well as many other family and special friends, including fishing buddies Alicia Gaizo and Mark Higgins.
Family will be receiving friends and extended family on Sunday, January 3, 2016, between 3-5 p.m. at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. A few words of memorial will be offered at 4 p.m.
Following this, the family will be taking time to toast a life too soon ended at Marco Polo in East Hartford. Any and all who would like to reminisce and keep company should feel welcome
