

Albert J. Guerrini, 92, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 14, 2016. He was born in Canton, CT a son of the late Adolfo and Anna (Agenalli) Guerrini. Albert was a communicant of St. Isaac Jogues Church in East Hartford and faithfully attended Mass. He was a Lieutenant with the Hartford Fire Department and faithfully served his country in the United States Army, Company C, 69th Signal Battalion, from May of 1943-June of 1945, he attained the rank of Tec 5. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Angela (Gedutis) Guerrini. Al was a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. As a father of seven, his favorite times were spent with family and friends playing board games and cards. He enjoyed watching sports and was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants. His mind was sharp until the end and he could recall numbers, important dates, and all of the important sports statistics. Later in life he learned to enjoy wildlife. He is survived by his three loving daughters, Patricia Klein and her husband Stanley of Cromwell, Mary Stosak and her husband Ronald of Lebanon and Nancy Stockwell of Westerville, Ohio, his four loving sons Donald Guerrini and his partner Susan Griffith of Satellite Beach, FL, Albert Guerrini Jr. and his wife Maryann of Southbury, Richard Guerrini and his wife Janet of Glastonbury and Michael Guerrini of Vernon, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by the many friends he made during his daily trip to the coffee shop, as well as by his longtime neighbor Phil Crosby. His Life Well Celebrated Service will be held on Tuesday December 27th, at 11AM at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will take place at Silver Lane Cemetery, Veterans Field. A calling hour will precede the service from 10AM-11AM.
