Al was a member of the East Hartford Elks and was a 3rd degree honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2533, Glastonbury, CT.
He served honorably with the Connecticut Army National Guard. Al retired from SNET after being employed for many years.
He leaves his wife Beverly of 52 years, daughters Tonya, Sharie, Tracy and a son Steven, his sister Marianne Jean and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Ronald J. Plefka.
Al was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with many friends on the East Hartford Men’s Club League.
Al was a devoted member of St. Christopher’s Church 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford, CT where his services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10 am.
