Andrew "Andy" J. Kamm

Andy was the owner/operator of A.K. Automotive in East Windsor. He was also a member of the Enfield Elks and the East Hartford Knights of Columbus where he was a past Grand Knight.

Andy was a devoted husband to his wife Susan for thirty five years. He was a loving Father to daughter and son-in-law Amy and Patrick Purcell, of Newport, R.I. & son and daughter-in-law Nicholas and Karyn Kamm of East Hartford. Andy also leaves behind sister Dorothy Kamm LaChance of Colchester, granddaughter Hayley Purcell of Ireland; and he was very excited to welcome his first grandson on the way. Andy will be truly missed by his many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Mary Kamm; and a brother Walter Kamm Jr.

Those whom were lucky to call Andy a friend will remember his quick wit, amazing sense of humor and infectious laugh.

Funeral services will be Monday November 8, 2010 at 9AM from the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Marys Church, East Hartford. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Sunday November 7th, 3-7PM.
